Does it contradict the idea of destiny?

"Life is what you make it"
gives us realization that our fate depends on each of us.

The statement has been influencing people who would like to be successful in accordance to personal preferences. It encourages us all to do something for success as laziness or doing nothing has no place in the world of progress and development. Indeed, this is acceptable and practically true. Our future is our own making.

But can this be contradictory to the idea of destiny?

Knowingly, destiny presents an idea that there is something intended for each one to be in the future - pointing out an essence of purpose of existence. Thus, everything that happens is divinely a step by step process that would be proceeding to an intended life in the future. Whatever circumstances of living are contributory in reaching such destiny. Good experiences present an awarding situation and bad experiences present good lessons in life - a training ground for a destined future.

How about combining the two ideas. Is it possible?

Destiny sets by divinity is known to be for the good of each one. Thus, it is just like a reward in life for doing each of our purpose considering the discovered talents and abilities. But going to the path of doing bad can be an expression of freewill rejecting the intended good destiny. However, as long as a person who is living in badness still has the chance to change for the better and later go back to good living, the circumstances that happened becomes a preparatory ground for the destiny set in life.

The Power of the Opposites

Do you notice the balance of two opposite things in every aspect of life? Can you sense the power produced by two opposite things in your daily experiences?

The reality of life always calls for more understanding from us rational beings. When we were still young, our observation of reality may be different compared to what we have observed now. As educators often said, “Learning is a continuous process”. We practically observe to relate and suit ourselves in our environment. Why? It is because we want to live with power towards success that we are dreaming of.

The wisdom of creation has spoken the ways of nature that leads to natural successes such as the plants that grow, the water that flows, the birds that fly, and everything that depicts the idea of staying alive and of existing well.

The instincts of animals reveal a natural view of successful existence. The genetic tendencies of plants show a perspective of successful existence. The existence of non-living things around indirectly points out success of presence on earth and to all parts of the universe.

The wisdom of ancient Chinese has integrated these concepts in a Chinese symbol – the Yinyang. It was and is the guiding symbol of Chinese activities especially in the martial art of Chinese origin, which is often called “Kung-fu”. The physical power is heighten in their opposite movements in whatever preferred fighting style.

In the Christian philosophy of life, the golden rule has been thriving: “Do unto others as you would like others do unto you”. Is it not revealing a balance of giving and receiving? Yes, it is. It is also stated, “Give and you will receive”.

Every success is the balance of two opposite things which are basically good as naturally shown in the following:

Man and woman

Night and Day

Force Downward and Force Upward

Force Leftward and Force Rightward

Opposite Diagonal Forces

Opposite Curved Movements

Positive and Negative Charges in Electricity

Transactions in Life

There is only one opposite things which are not included in the balance for life’s success, that is, good and evil.

Including these two opposite things, usually in terms of spirituality and morality, are a misconception and a misleading presentation of the intricacies of life. This wrong idea is the result of the general use of the word “positive” which usually implies goodness and “negative” that can be applied to the idea of evil. Thus, it is only because of the wrong understanding of the two words.

Something to think of in Oral Communication

In studying public speaking which is so important in all careers in life, there are so many lessons discussed. The books and other references have own ways of discussing this matter dependent on the styles of the authors.

I simplified important points in oral communication for us not to forget wherever we are.

It is a matter of spelling MODELS and we will always remember. Why "models"? Because these following points of consideration should always be in our paradigm or mindset as a pattern whenever we would be involved in public speaking:

M - Message

We must be sure of WHAT we will be talking about.

O - Occasion

It is very necessary to know first WHY we would be giving a speech and WHEN will it be.

D - Delivery

HOW to present the topics of discussion must be prepared to have an idea of possible outcome.

E - Environment

The place WHERE any of us would be giving a speech must be assessed well to know the things needed as a result of such assessment.]

L - Listener(s)

The people TO WHOM we would be communicating orally is a very crucial factor knowing that each of them has different personalities, preferences, age levels, etc.

S - Speaker

This emphasizes credibility as there is a scrutiny of WHO is best to give a speech on a certain topic at hand.

I hope this guiding points in an acronym form would be a great help for us in any speaking engagement.

All good ideas we know were shared by gifted human beings that triggered the discoveries and inventions of something useful in life.

Scientists, discoverers, geniuses, and heroes were known because of what they have done. In most situations, the concepts, principles, theories, and things made were labeled or named after the names of the initiators or propagators. Apparently, the mentioned situation does not end and even going into complex phases of generating, screening, selecting, applying, and evaluating ideas resulting to a more complex theoretical development and highly technological inventions.

One thing is sure - everything started in a spark of idea within the mind of any fortunate human being.

We are grateful to belong in such highly rational human species. We know what could be right and wrong with the guidance of the so-called conscience and the practical inputs of intelligence in us. Hence, we could at any time be initiators or propagators of whatever unique ideas that can be considered as new or a synergy of combined known ideas.

Our experiences and awareness are the triggering factors in encountering such ideas which could be similar to what others are perceiving or ideas just perceived for the first time. It is just nice that this blog would cater to whatever realizations for future development or improvement of anything existing, discovered, or invented.

We just hope that the sources of new ideas would be respected and be given due commendations - thus, plagiarism which refers to stealing ideas of others and treating such ideas as own should not be tolerated directly or indirectly.
